BIO

Back in 2006 when the local scene was dried up, five thrash metal maniacs joined forces to revive the underground metal culture in Basel City, Switzerland. They forged a beast called Total Annihilation and quickly became well recognized in the scene for their merciless live attacks.

After releasing two albums and a few line-up changes, personally as well as musically matured, the band released their long awaited third album «… On Chains of Doom» in 2020 and gained a lot of outstanding reviews from all over the world.

Started as a raw thrash metal outfit, Total Annihilation now has mastered their own unique style of Thrashing Death Metal. And with a vast variety of different influences, they became heavier as ever. With their latest release «Raging Death» from 2023 they powerfully demonstrated their ability to create a massive bastard of furious thrash metal and old-school Swedish death metal.

After an intense songwriting and recording process in 2024 and 2025 Total Annihilation teamed up with the German Extreme Metal Label “Testimony Records” to release their fourth album “Mountains of Madness” in January 2026. The Album was highly acclaimed by the press worldwide and scored #3 in the monthly Album Charts from the German Extreme Metal magazine Legacy, right beside Kreators and Megadeths new records.

They are now back on stage to attack!
Bow down to the Thrashing Death Metal Force Total Annihilation!
There will be no mercy!
